Social Space Ideal for Businesses to Meet Consumer Needs

When companies meet the full range of social needs, they gain trust and deep insights into their consumers and community members. In a report "Meeting Business Needs by Meeting Social Needs...", Communispace researchers, have identified the specific social needs that are met through participating in social networks.

The study addresses "Six Social Needs" and suggests that business can take advantage of these observations in creating more affinity with customer:

  • ability to define and redefine themselves with profiles.

  • autonomy to create an online reputation

  • to seek and provide help

  • to find, create and connect with others "just like me"

  • a sense of belonging and mutual commitment to participating

  • reassurance of the worth and value of the things they say and do

The most important word that comes to mind when reviewing this research is Trust.  If you business wants to participate and benefit from the Social Network Marketing opportunities that are available on sites like Facebook, businesses need to demonstrate committed participation as a community member.
