What is an Image Alt Tag?
An Image Alt Tag is used to tell the search engines information about the images you upload to your blog or Web site. Since search engines interpret text to determine the content of Web pages, using the alt tag properly, can ensure that your Web page gets ranked for the image content as well as the text on your page.
In Blogger, when images are uploaded, the alt tag is left blank. To see and edit the alt tag, switch over to Edit Html mode and look for something that looks like: alt="". Edit your image alt tag by adding a label that accurately describes the content of your image and helps the search engines properly index your Web page.
